Who is Don Gibbs

Born in the Island of Jamaica, well beloved abstract expressionist was self-taught. He felt in love with visual art after having a personal encounter with the Jamaican Born world renowned sculptor Edna Manley at National Gallery one day. After which start the journey by using the medium of watercolor paint on paper. 

Now Gibbs using the mediums of canvas and acrylic paper to express his true feeling of life, love and music. 

Over the years he has done many commissioned pieces including one for late former Prime Minister of Jamaica Edward Seaga. 

According to many art critics Gibbs is one of the leading Abstract expressionist in the Region. 

He has two major exhibition in recent years the last being in 2018 in the island of Antigua. 

His love for bright colors continues to show in every piece he does whether on 8"x10" or as large on a 5' canvas he showcase the fact that being bold is so beautiful.
